Topic 1: Introduction to Project Management

Speakers: Niall Clifford, WebSphere MQ Portfolio Project Manager / Melanie Hopper, Project Manager

A whistle stop tour into the concepts of project management, and the real life experience of delivering software projects. The speakers will start by reviewing a simple conventional project example from initial concepts, through to delivery and completion. They will then focus on a day in the life of a software PM, what the role requires and the kind of skills that will make you be successful in this field.

Topic 2: You and IBM – opportunities for students and graduates

Speaker: Caroline Fortunski,  Intern, Talent Consulting at Smarter Workforce

Caroline will be speaking about the opportunities IBM offers to students and graduates. This will include information about how students can apply for the graduate scheme, what they can expect from the scheme, and what it is like to work within IBM.

Topic 3: Introduction to Smarter Workforce

Speaker: Catherine Kampa, Senior Talent Consulltant at Smarter Workforce

Catherine will be discussing IBM’s work with Big Data and Analytics and how the Smarter Workforce team in IBM offers science, services and software to help organisations make better decisions, take better actions and realise better results.
