Date(s) - 20/04/2016
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

This week we have the first ever Employability Skills Clinic (ESC) that will be followed by several surgery sessions over the summer. It sounds like an NHS service but it is not, but it is still free. Alan Stuart and I will deliver four sessions in an hour giving you an important boost towards securing your first job, placement or internship. Please note that these sessions will be delivered in a one hour session and will last 15 minutes each, with a 10-minute presentation followed by 5-minute Q&A. Prepare to take plenty of notes.
As I mentioned in my last email, due to popular demand and after several discussions with you, we will offer employability talks after week 24 as most of you mentioned that you would be happy to visit the campus in order to attend such useful talks.
During STEP presentations, guest talks, workshops and other events we record attendance as a certificate of attendance to the STEPS programme will be given to all students who attend three or more STEPS. This is a useful addition to your CV showing your commitment to learn more about work practices in your sector and demonstrating that you have been proactive in learning how your studies relate to employability. You can find out more about from our department’s employability pages
As we have limited places available, make sure you you book yours at
