New Academic Appointments

Despite the challenges of these times, and the sad loss of Professor Miltos Petridis to the pandemic one year ago, our department has recently made – and is planning to make – a number of appointments. Professor Balbir Barn has been taking interim responsibilities as head of department in the past year on top of his Vice Dean role and has been promoted to Academic Dean for the Faculty of Science and Technology effective April 1st. Professor Franco Raimondi is also returning from his research leave on May 1st to take up the role of Head of Department.
